“Game of Thrones” creator and writer George RR Martin has revealed in a new blog post that he will soon be writing about “everything that went wrong with” the HBO spinoff series “House of the Dragon,” which aired its second season earlier this month.

Martin has used his personal blog over the years to provide updates on the production of “House of the Dragon,” his long-delayed book “Winds of Winter” and other thoughts. But this is the first time his tone has shifted toward HBO’s “House of the Dragon” prequel, which is based on his “Fire & Blood” novel.

"I'm not looking forward to writing more posts about everything that went wrong with HOUSE OF THE DRAGON… but I have to do that too, and I will. Not today, mind you. TODAY is Zozobra's day, where we turn away from the gloom," Martin wrote in a blog post Friday about attending the Burning of Zozobra festival in Santa Fe, N.M., and his other summer travels.

“It’s Santa Fe’s way of swallowing up the darkness, of clearing the way for the light and joy that will hopefully mark the new year. And believe me, we need that now more than ever,” he added. “The world, the country, and yes, especially me. This has not been a good year for anyone, with wars everywhere and fascism on the rise… and on a more personal level, I’ve had a pretty miserable year too, a year of stress, anger, conflict and defeat. I need to talk about that, and I will, I will… I was away from my computer from July 15th to August 15th, so a lot of things that needed to be said were not said.”
