Apple Music is expanding its repertoire with a new series called Apple Music Sessions. The series offers a growing collection of recordings of live performances, all using spatial audio.

The plan for Apple Music Sessions is to offer members exclusive EPs from their favorite artists and newcomers, along with a little extra treat. Each of the newly recorded live tracks will also use the simulated surround sound effect created by spatial audio and will be accompanied by video of the performances.
Don't expect full albums from the new series, however. The two preview EPs that Apple Music Sessions is launching with, from Carrie Underwood and Tenille Townes, each consist of three tracks. In both cases, the track list consists of two re-recorded songs by the artist and one cover of a song by another artist. It's unclear whether three tracks is a set number for all EPs moving forward, or if two new versions of the artist's song plus one cover will be a permanent fixture.
Since Apple Music Sessions is part of Apple Music, you’ll need to sign up for the service or already have a membership to watch the exclusive EPs (and their live performance videos). If you don’t already have a subscription, Apple is offering a one-month free trial that you can use on all your Apple devices before the $9.99-per-month price kicks in.
