Glen Powell isn't here to criticize Ryan Gosling's stardom. The "Twisters" and "Anyone But You" favorites recently took to X (formerly Twitter) to respond to a viral comment from an anonymous Hollywood producer who called Powell the biggest rising star in Hollywood, paying Gosling a backhanded compliment in the process.
The anonymous producer spoke to The Wrap, saying that Powell is officially a movie star "in the sense that audiences are now going to the movies to see him." But the comment also contained some Gosling-esque flourishes, as the producer added, "Unlike an actor like Ryan Gosling, whose appeal is primarily limited to the female audience, Glen appeals to both women and men."
"Gosling is a legend. I'm just Glen," Powell said in response, a riff on Gosling's iconic "I'm just Ken" catchphrase from "Barbie." The comment quickly garnered attention on the social media platform with 100,000 likes and counting.
