The Friday Mini NYT Crossword Puzzle: August 2, 2024
"Glorify" is the clue from the August 2 NYT mini crossword puzzle, and it's not an easy one to solve unless you have a whole bunch of adoring fans. To be honest, I only solved this one because the answer was used in an ancient history documentary I had just finished watching. Don't worry, I won't force you to watch it for the answer – you'll find it below.
If you still haven't found the answer with these clues, I've included the answer to two-down in the next paragraph.
The answer to the clue "Glorify" is "EXALT". Exalt, as you now know, means to raise someone in rank, power, or character, or to exalt them by praise. According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, it is derived from the Latin word exaltare and was first used in the 15th century. So it's been around for a while.
