Google has finally introduced true iPad-style multitasking to its iPadOS apps, including email giant Gmail, Calendar and Photos.
Disable iPad Split Screen in Emails
What's this? There are two ways to work with more than one app at a time on iPad, Slide Over and Split View. Slide Over places a second app in a collapsible column on the right or left side of your iPad's screen, while Split View places two regular-style apps side by side on the same screen.
How to get it: iPad multitasking for Google apps is turned on by default and is available out of the box to all regular and G Suite app users. You may need to update your iPad apps through the App Store first.
Google says: “To open Split View, in Gmail, swipe up from the bottom of your screen to open the Dock. In the Dock, touch and hold the app you want to open, then drag it to the left or right edge of your screen,” Google wrote in its blog post.
