It's that time of year again, as Google is preparing a refresh of its popular Pixel smartphone line.
Google to launch Pixel 6 series on October 19
Google had already revealed plans for its Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro smartphones back in August, but has now prepped a streaming event for October 19 to discuss the specifics. According to the company's Twitter account, the pre-recorded stream will go live at 1pm ET / 10am PT.
What will the event include? We already know some of the Pixel 6's specs, such as the addition of the company's new flagship Tensor processor and an in-display fingerprint sensor. However, we still don't have a release date, price, or any information on whether the phone will launch alongside the long-awaited Android 12 operating system.
The Pixel 6 Pro also has a 6.7-inch QHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, while the standard Pixel 6 has a 6.4-inch FHD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate.
