Today at CES in Las Vegas, Google announced a number of new features that aim to make its Google Assistant more useful in more places and on more devices. Smart speakers will be easier and faster to set up with an Android phone, Google said, while many new devices will work with the system, including smart locks, appliances, showerheads and more.

Here are some of the coolest new things you can expect to see with Google Assistant in the near future.
Android phone users will now get a notification when a new smart device is available on your home network. Tapping on it will let you set up the smart speaker or smart display without having to re-enter your login credentials. This should make setup much faster.
Need to turn on your coffee maker when you wake up in the morning? Assistant has your back with what Google is calling Scheduled Actions. The feature is coming later this year and will work with more than 20 new devices, including air conditioners, vacuum cleaners, air purifiers, bathtubs (!) and more, including your wake-up juicer.
