Google is celebrating the 252nd anniversary of Beethoven's birth with two new rhythm games that highlight the legendary composer's work. One of them brings back the Blobs.

Both games can be played in a web browser and each emphasizes Beethoven's music in its own way. Blob Beats functions more as a traditional video game and Beethoven Beats is more of an experimental music tool.
Blob Beats has you tapping keys to match on-screen prompts with arcade-style remixes of classic Beethoven arrangements—your basic rhythm game, really. Try out different compositions, play around with different difficulty levels, and see how you do.
In addition to chasing the highest score, the game also shares various details about the composer between levels. And of course, it features the singing Blobs from David Li's Blob Opera (in a less free form).
