Google has officially released Chrome 94, the latest version of its web browser, with new features and tweaks to existing elements.
Google Brings New Changes to Chrome 94
According to Android Police, the new changes include inactivity detection, an API that alerts developers when someone is inactive, and design changes for Material You on Android 12.
Idle Detection knows when a user is away by recognizing the lack of input, such as when the keyboard or mouse are not being used. It can even detect when a screen is locked or a user has navigated to another screen.
Google's motivation for this feature is to get more information about when a user is inactive and use that data to build better collaborative apps. However, not everyone is happy with this change.
