Google Calendar is one of my favorite free online calendars because it’s incredibly easy to use and packed with great features. I keep coming back to it because it allows me to keep track of events for myself and even share them with family, friends, and anyone else with a Google account. It’s also handy for scheduling appointments, setting reminders, and keeping track of RSVPs.

You don’t need a manual to get started. Select a day and start typing to add events. View the calendar by day, week, or month, depending on your preference. All views are easy to use. There’s also a way to view just four days at a time or view your schedule, which is a list of upcoming events.

I use Google Calendar on my phone as much as I do on a computer. The app is available on a phone or tablet. Since the calendar is online, you can of course start it on your computer, update it from your phone, and view it at work.

One of the most important advantages of Google Calendar is its ability to share. Family, friends and others can share Google Calendars with each other to keep track of meetings, appointments, birthdays, etc.
