Google has added a feature that lets you follow websites directly in Chrome, just like you follow someone on Twitter (only this is for websites).
Google Chrome's latest feature makes it the scariest web browser.
Follow websites!? Sounds super convenient, right? And it's easy. You just click a button in your browser and you're "subscribed" to all updates from that site. New news stories, articles, or other fresh posts will then appear in Chrome's New Tabs page. Could this finally be the resurrection of Google Reader?
“I think an RSS reader built into Chrome (and not presented as an RSS reader) has a chance against Facebook and Twitter,” Vinay Sahni, co-founder of customer relations software company Enchant, told Lifewire via email.
"The audience for Chrome's tracking feature will likely be much larger than those who have ever used Google Reader. Because it's built into the browser, Google can push content to mobile notification panels."
