Many of Google's Lens search features are getting AI-powered upgrades that leverage the recently announced Lamda spinoff Bard and make visual search more intuitive and useful.

If you’ve ever wanted more from Google Lens or its fairly recent multisearch feature (coming in 2022), there are new features and improvements on the way. Google has revealed plans for deeper image and video searches with Lens, and more specific options when using multisearch with both an image and text.
With an upcoming Lens upgrade, you'll be able to "search your screen" for information about what you see in photos and videos, even if you didn't take them yourself. In one example, Lens can search for and provide links to details about a background landmark seen in a friend's video about Paris.
Google’s AI-powered multisearch still lets you search for more specific topics using both an image and text—for example, a photo of a chair with text indicating your preferred color. But it’s also getting more fleshed out with Near Me (also known as local) multisearch, which checks for nearby stores and other locations relevant to your searches.
