Along with the unveiling of the new Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro phones, Google announced the Pixel Pass subscription, which gets you the latest phone plus other perks.
The Google Pixel 9 series is a HUGE upgrade (REAL!)
Google’s new Pixel Pass lets you get a new Pixel phone without a big upfront cost, and gets you access to things like YouTube Premium. Depending on whether you want the Pixel 6 or Pixel 6 Pro, it’ll cost you $45 per month or $55 per month, respectively, though carrier fees aren’t included.
Pixel Pass includes the latest Pixel phone (unlocked, so you can use it with all the major carriers), YouTube Premium, and YouTube Music Premium. It also includes Google Play Pass, up to 200GB of cloud storage with Google One, and Google’s device protections. So basically you get a new phone, ad-free YouTube video and music, free games, and loads of space to store your photos and videos.
According to Google, the Pixel Plus plan will automatically be combined with your current carrier or Google Fi account, so you can pay for everything in one place. After 24 monthly payments, your phone will be paid off, and you’ll have the option to continue your subscription and get the next new device. However, if you’re already subscribed to services like YouTube Premium or Play Pass, you’ll need to cancel those in order to start a Pixel Pass subscription.
