Google Assistant has a variety of features to make tasks easier. But not all features are used equally. Google recently announced that it will be phasing out 17 of its “underused” Assistant features. The features will be removed from smartphones, smartwatches, smart displays, and more. While Google has provided workarounds for many of these features, some are being cut entirely.

Whether this is related to the recent mass layoffs is a matter of speculation. However, starting on January 26, users who use these features will be notified that they are being deprecated and will soon no longer be available.
It will be interesting to see how Google moves forward with its Assistant, especially since Assistant with Bard is already in the works and will be available on devices soon.
