Google wants to make it easier to reach your destination, so it's rolling out a number of new updates to Google Maps and Waze to help you get there.

The improvements were announced Wednesday in a post on Google's The Keyword blog, and outline the changes coming to Google Maps and Waze. Each navigation system will get a number of new or improved features. For example, Google Maps will get incident reporting and new guidance features, and Waze will get camera alerts and real-time traffic information.
In Maps, incident reporting is more of a community effort. As it rolls out, the ability to report incidents and helpful traffic information is getting easier. According to Google's blog post, "You'll see larger notification icons that are easier to tap, so you can share updates more quickly, like that closed lane on your way to work. Other drivers can then acknowledge the incident with just one tap to help passing drivers."
Google Maps is also getting new guidance to help you find the right building. As you approach your destination, the building you’re looking for (very handy in apartment buildings) will be highlighted on the map, along with any nearby parking. This feature is expected to roll out “in the coming weeks.”
