Google Maps' new indoor guidance can be useful, but there are still some issues to be ironed out before users can benefit from it.
How to Fix Google Maps Not Talking Issue
This week, Google Maps rolled out updates to its app, including directions in public places like malls, airports, and train stations. As someone who often gets lost in large public buildings, I was excited to try out this new feature in real life at a local mall.
While Google Maps has established itself as a top-notch navigation app, there is still a lot of work to be done before its indoor directions are of the same quality as regular directions.
Right now, the new feature is only available in select malls in Chicago, Long Island, Los Angeles, Newark, San Francisco, San Jose, and Seattle. I live in Chicago, so I made a quick trip to one of the confirmed malls that have started using this new feature.
