Google Meet allows users to hold group meetings with up to 250 participants in a single call. However, you can only view 16 participants at a time if you view each of them in a grid pattern.
Google Meet Chrome Extension – Grid View
When a lot of people are discussing and sharing ideas in a Google Meet session, you might want to see as many participants on your screen as possible. Google currently (as of April 16) only lets you see up to 16 people in a grid format during conference calls, unlike Zoom, which gives users a way to see up to 49 participants on one screen.
But if you want to see everyone in your group meeting, there is a workaround. To do this, you can install a Google Chrome extension to enable grid view to see all participants of a Google Meet video call.
The Google Meet Grid View extension, as the name suggests, enables a grid layout on the call screen when using Google Meet on Chrome. Once installed, you can view all meeting participants displayed in a grid pattern of equally sized rectangular boxes, unlike the grid layout on the official Google Meet service which forces a speaker view feed.
