If you’re looking for your Google Photos Library tab, it might not be there. The company is rolling out a new tab to take its place: Collections.
Google Photo Library Tab REPLACED! Introducing Collections NOW!
The feature is rolling out to your Android or iPhone starting today and will remain available for the next few weeks, according to the Google Photos Community page. I see the Collections tab on my Android device, but not yet on my iPhone, for example.
The company says it heard from user feedback that shared albums were difficult to find, so it's moved them into the new Collections tab under, logically, Albums. You can then switch between Everything, Shared with Me, and My Albums to find the stuff you want.
Favorites and Trash will now appear at the top of the Collections tab, and two other tiles will appear with the photos and media you navigate to most, Google says. The only thing that won't appear at the top of the Collections view is your locked folder. Phew.
