While there’s no official confirmation yet, there’s talk of a potential new Pixel Tablet release this year. Here’s the inside scoop we’ve gathered, along with some of our own exciting ideas that have us excited for the Pixel Tablet 2.
The Pixel Tablet is special….
One indication that we'll be seeing a new Google Pixel Tablet comes in the form of a set of codenames discovered by 9to5Google. These names, Clementine and Kiyomi, resemble those of the original Pixel Tablet, suggesting that a potential successor is in development.
Google also gave a sneak peek at its first tablet at Google I/O 2022, so it would make sense that we could get details about the Pixel Tablet 2 at the next Google I/O. It's worth noting, however, that the first-gen Pixel Tablet didn't launch until a year after the event, in June 2023. If history is any indication, we may have to wait until 2025 to see the next Pixel Tablet.
Either way, we remain hopeful and assume that Google plans to refresh this product annually.
