Thanks to a new update to Google Search, finding a specific meal is almost as easy as coming up with a song title.
Major SEO change (new Google algorithm update)
Now you have two more ways to try to figure out what you’re eating and where to get more of it, and to find a specific food you’re craving, with a Google search. The updates take advantage of Google’s new “multisearch near me” feature, which is based on multisearch using a combination of images and text.
If you’ve ever had food placed in front of you and thought “what is this?” followed by “where can I get more of this?” it’s time to grab Google Lens. The first of the new features lets you snap a photo of what you’re about to eat, add “nearby” to your search, and Google will identify the meal as well as nearby places that sell it. Though you may have to ask for the name yourself if you decide to search halfway through your meal (since what’s left on your plate may not be so easy to identify).
Likewise, if you already know the name of a dish and are craving it, you can now search for it by name to get results with nearby purchase options. Google also says that these food searches will return additional information, such as ingredients.
