Google confirmed in a recent blog post that it is testing ways to place ads in AI-generated search results.

This comes less than two weeks after Google introduced AI Overviews.
The ads are labeled in a separate “Sponsored” section. While this ensures that ads appear in the AI section of relevant Google searches and boosts sales for businesses, AI listings can generally reduce the number of clicks to their website.
