Google just unveiled its latest Pixel phone, the Pixel 5a with 5G, and it’s available for pre-order now (ahead of its August 26 release) for $449.
A really, really big battery – Pixel 5a with 5G
The recently announced Google Pixel 5a with 5G appears to be both an upgrade over the Pixel 4a 5G and a more affordable alternative to the Pixel 5 or the upcoming Pixel 6. The Pixel 5a's price tag of $449 is $50 less than the Pixel 4a 5G ($499) and about $250 less than the Pixel 5 ($699).
Don’t let the near-identical looks fool you, though; the Pixel 5a 5G is a notable improvement over the Pixel 4a 5G, but it’s not quite the Pixel 5’s match. Both models offer 5G, but the Pixel 5a 5G also has a larger display (6.3 inches versus 6.2), noise-cancelling features, and a larger 4,680mAh battery.
According to the Pixel 5a 5G's product page, the battery can last up to two days (talks, texts, data and standby) before needing a charge.
