Google today unveiled an update to the Pixel Tablet at its I/O conference that's packed with all sorts of advanced features.

The refresh features an 11-inch HD display, quad speakers, and an aluminum body with a nano-ceramic coating that the company says “feels cool to the touch.” In terms of specs, the tablet packs a proprietary Tensor G2 chip, the same one found in Google Pixel 7 smartphones, and comes packed with software to take full advantage of that chipset.
The tablet is packed with “personal AI” to integrate the company’s various apps with its renewed focus on artificial intelligence. It also features improved speech recognition software for dictation, with the company saying the new algorithm is up to three times faster than typing via the on-screen keyboard.
The fingerprint sensor has been updated to make it faster, which is always nice, and the Google Home app has been given a visual overhaul to take full advantage of the increased screen real estate.
