After the terrible reception to Gray Zone Warfare's latest update, the developers have rolled back all changes and apologized to the player base for not believing the hundreds of fan reports about the debilitating issues plaguing the game across all servers.

According to Madfinger CEO Marek Rabas, the development team behind Gray Zone Warfare did not release a quick fix for the ongoing issues because they did not believe their own community and the mass reports from a majority of players, from Twitter to Reddit and beyond. As a result, the team has rolled back Hotfix 5.3 and will be working on a new hotfix update soon.
Hey guys, please accept our apologies. We released a hotfix that introduced new issues to the game. We will be rolling back and releasing another hotfix soon. We messed up mainly because we didn’t trust our community when they reported performance issues. We couldn’t reproduce it…
“We were unable to reproduce it on our end, and after reviewing every commit, we were confident that none of the fixes would impact client performance,” Rabas said in a statement. “This was a major mistake; it turned out to be a bad merge and unwanted changes were propagated to the hotfix branch.”
