Gray Zone Warfare’s performance has been the subject of much complaint, but its undeniably powerful AI enemies have caught the attention of multiple players, who have determined that the culprit is the first hotfix.
99.5% of players failed this part because they were distracted
As one player noted on Reddit, the AI enemies have become "absolutely deadly" after Gray Zone Warfare's Hotfix 1 update dropped on May 1. From shooting through walls to performing one-shot kills from suspiciously long distances, the bots have been making players shiver with their hacker-like mechanics.
"I love the game but if they have a jungle setting with pretty low visibility to the enemy maybe they should tone down the AI a bit," the player wrote in his post. "I love a challenge as much as the next person but it's like they have an aimbot."
Many players are having similar issues with the AI, as the comments section is littered with similar reports. Another player mentioned how painful it is to complete quests in Ban Pa due to the excessively fierce AI inhabitants of Lamang Island. “Like 100m 3 thorax shots through foliage painful,” they wrote. Interestingly, players are unsure if Madfinger Games intended to push the AI this far or if it’s a bug.
