Take-Two Interactive has confirmed a more specific release date for Rockstar's highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto 6: Fall 2025.
Take-Two Reduces GTA 6 Release Window – IGN Daily Fix
During Take-Two's Q4 2024 earnings call, the publisher said it has pushed back the release window for GTA 6 from the general 2025 window to fall 2025. This should result in a release window between September and December.
Expectations are high for many in the gaming world, especially for Take-Two itself. In its earnings call, Take-Two said it is "confident that Rockstar Games will deliver an unparalleled entertainment experience, and our expectations for the title's commercial impact continue to increase." The company expects "sequential growth in net bookings [sales]" for the current fiscal year and the two fiscal years following.
The stakes are high for GTA 6 when looking at Take-Two's release schedule, as there aren't a whole lot of big titles on the list. The publisher has confirmed that it will release two mobile titles next year in Star Wars Hunters and Game of Thrones: Legends, the Tales of the Shire game, and the annual installments for NBA 2K and WWE 2K. There's a chance that Judas, the action-adventure game from Bioshock creator Ken Levine and Ghost Story Games, will release in fiscal 2025, but its release date is listed as TBA.
