Netflix has unveiled a trailer for the hit Korean mystery series “Gyeongseong Creature” ahead of the September 27 upload of its second season.

The first season was set in 1945, during the Japanese occupation of Seoul, then known as Gyeongseong. The Imperial Army's biological experiments on humans were not only cruel, they also unleashed a monstrous creature.

The second season jumps to present-day Seoul and follows Chae-ok (played by Han So-hee), who meets Ho-jae (Park Seo-jun), who bears a striking resemblance to the man she knew in 1945.

It also introduces two major new characters. One is Seung-jo, a shady agent for Jeonseung Biotech – formerly Ongseong Hospital in Season 1 – who is played by Bae Hyeon-seong (“Our Blues,” “Hospital Playlist”).
