I always thought action cams were only for adventurous types who were into extreme outdoor sports… Boy, was I wrong.
NEW Insta360 GO 3S HANDS-ON FIRST LOOK
The new Insta360 Go 3S action camera has taught me a lot about video recording in real life. For example, who knew that attaching an action camera to a child could result in such hilarious videos? Or even recording the steps of cooking your daughter’s favorite meal? I admit that I may have also used it when I was working in my art studio to record videos of painting and clay work.
But was an action cam really necessary? When Insta360 offered the option to try it, I decided it was a fair question. Here’s what I learned.
When the Insta360 Go 3S arrived, the box was bigger than I expected. I mean, this is a thumb-sized camera. But the Standard Bundle includes the action bod, a magnetic pendant you can wear around your neck, a swivel stand, and an easy clip. I also included a Pet Harness mount that includes action mounts and supports. Unfortunately, I have a deep-chested German Shepherd and the largest pet mount Insta360 currently offers is a medium. So unfortunately I was unable to test that accessory.
