The OnePlus 12, the company's latest Android flagship, is a solid piece of engineering that, much like Apple's iPhone line, has packed a lot of technology behind the scenes to ensure that you can use the device smoothly and easily.
OnePlus 12 review: better than you think!
Your friends won't be wowed by the looks of this new device, but maybe that's not as important as some might think.
The OnePlus 12 is a fantastic iteration of a proven formula. It shares a similar design with the previous model, with a larger 6.82-inch display, a brighter 4,500 nit screen, and a more powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip. It’s also 10% more power efficient for its 5,400mAh battery. The 12 supports 80W fast charging (one of the coolest features ever) and finally, OnePlus has brought back wireless charging to its flagship, with fast 50W charging via a custom OnePlus Wireless Charger.
Holding the OnePlus 12 is interesting. It’s almost too light and thin, to be honest. I keep wishing for a PopSocket or some other sort of mounting system, because I’m constantly worried that this sleek, attractive handset is going to slip through my fingers at any moment. The black model I’ve been playing with has a grainy back that might help with that, but it still feels a bit flimsy. It’s beautiful to look at, but I might need a case for this thing.
