35-year-old American actor Y'lan Noel will play an as-yet unknown character in Black Ops 6, but he is the one seen in the game's promotional and cover art, Variety reports.
Noel, best known for his roles as Daniel King in the hit HBO series Insecure and Dmitri in 2018's The First Purge, is from Brooklyn, New York.
"He's never worked in games before, but we were really impressed with his voice acting. He's super charismatic, super thoughtful," Activision senior VP and chief marketing officer Tyler Bahl said. "And when you're playing a new character, we give the actors a bio, we set the scene, but they create the character, they bring it to life. So as the lead, he's playing this brand new character that he's defined, and the team was just so impressed with what he was able to deliver."
