HDDErase is a bootable data destruction program that runs from a disk, such as a CD or DVD, or a floppy disk.

Because this program runs before the operating system loads, it can not only erase any operating system, but even the operating system you primarily use, such as anything running on drive C.

HDDErase is a text-only program, which means there are no buttons or menus you can use to interact with it. To get started, select Download Freeware Secure Erase Utility on the download page to get hdd-erase-web.zip.

The easiest way to use it is via the bootable ISO image that comes with the download, called ​HDDErase.iso (open the zip file to view it). You can also create any bootable media you like (floppy, disc, flash drive, etc.) and copy the HDDERASE.EXE file to it.
