As described, you need to win 8 defense campaigns against Automatons to complete the Major Order. If you go to the Galactic War map, you will see that there are planets that are invaded by the Automaton Faction. So as part of Super Earth, you need to defeat and liberate the victim planet.
While defending a planet, you will see two bars, red and blue, on the map. The red represents the enemy and the blue represents you. So, you have to defeat the enemy and fill the blue bar to defend and free that planet from Automatons.
