Almost a year and a half after its official launch, Hogwarts Legacy is getting some nice additions. While nothing groundbreaking, they could still be reason enough to start up the 2023 bestseller.
Voldemort vs. Sebastian in Hogwarts Legacy 😈
This free Hogwarts Legacy summer update is scheduled to release on all platforms on June 6th. The headliner of the update is of course a fully-fledged photo mode, something fans have been requesting since the game launched. In addition to your standard camera settings, photo mode will offer options to change the seasons and times of day, so you won't need any time-wasters at all. As Avalanche community manager Chandler Wood says in the official explainer video, "It's like a thoughtful reminder. Nothing you do in photo mode will change the game outside of photo mode."
Speaking of other features requested by the Hogwarts Legacy community, a New Game Plus mode is at the top of the list. While we’re not exactly getting that with the Summer Update, we are getting the next best thing: a Talent Points refund system that lets you play around with your build. For a price of 200 gold per refund, you’ll be able to play around with your invested Talent Points in the Field Guide.
This update also unlocks the game’s best side quest, Haunted Hogsmeade, on all platforms. This previously PlayStation-exclusive quest (disclaimer: not for the faint of heart) lets you open your own shop in Hogsmeade.
