The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), part of the US Department of Homeland Security, has warned Chrome users to update their browsers on macOS, Linux and Windows.

What They Said: The note encourages users and system administrators to review the release notes for Chrome (80.0. 3987. 116) and update the browser software immediately.
The big picture: Chances are your Chrome browser has updated itself. However, you can easily check this via the More menu (three dots) in the upper-right corner of the browser window, under the item Help/About Google Chrome.
Behind the scenes: Google's release notes specify five security patches addressed by the update. The CISA announcement notes that one of them "addresses vulnerabilities that an attacker could exploit to take control of an affected system."
