On August 6th, a Redditor shared a leak from UBatcha suggesting that Honkai: Star Rail will be getting a new banner type in the future, and that it could be a major positive quality of life improvement. According to the leak, the new so-called Sub Banner will have three swappable groups of old five-star characters and Light Cones. This means that the older, Limited five-star units could get more frequent re-runs.

Honkai: Star Rail is one of the best gacha games out there, and it has a lot to offer, from quests and puzzles to unique characters to collect and build. While there are currently two banner types, new characters and Light Cones appear very often.

So, implementing a third banner that focuses solely on rerun characters and weapons could be a fantastic quality-of-life feature for new players and veterans alike. It means you can collect your favorite characters and Light Cones in case you missed them or lost them fifty-fifty early.
