According to manufacturers, new hearing aids use artificial intelligence to produce more realistic sounds.
How Artificial Intelligence in Hearing Aids Keeps Getting Better!
The recently released WIDEX MOMENT uses AI to learn how users prefer to hear their environment and compares this to millions of settings stored in the cloud to personalize the listening experience. It is one of a growing number of hearing aids that are taking advantage of new technologies.
"WIDEX MOMENT with PureSound solves one of the biggest challenges hearing aid users face: No matter how good the sound, it still sounds artificial. It's like you're listening to a recording of your own voice instead of the sound you heard before your hearing loss," said Kerrie Coughlin, vice president of Widex Marketing, in an email interview.
“In other words, regardless of technological capabilities, hearing aids have always sounded like hearing aids.”
