Can Microsoft's Bing Beat Google in Search?
OpenAI recently announced that it would be using Microsoft Bing as the default search experience for ChatGPT. According to experts, this move could propel Bing to the top of the search world.
“Bing and Google often return different results due to differences in their algorithms,” digital entrepreneur Dmytro Sokhach told Lifewire via email. “By using Bing, AI can gain access to a slightly different view of the web than it would get from Google alone, potentially increasing the diversity of information AI can learn and use.”
Subscribers to the ChatGPT Plus service will be able to add Bing searches using a plugin, Microsoft's head of consumer marketing Yusuf Mehdi said in the Bing blog post. Users of ChatGPT's free service will soon be able to use Bing as well.
