This article explains how to delete a Fortnite account, which means deleting your Epic Games account since Fortnite uses the Epic Games platform to store game saves, transfer data, and back up player progress. We'll also cover how to unlink an Epic Games account from your console if you want to use a different Epic Games account instead.

When you delete your Epic Games account, Epic will delete all of your game data and associated purchases. This process is permanent. All of your Fortnite progress will be gone, and you will lose access to any games you purchased from Epic Games. Your Epic Games friends list will disappear, and all downloadable content (DLC) such as Fortnite V-Bucks will be deleted.

Hover over your Epic Games username in the top-right corner and select Account from the drop-down menu.

On the General Settings page, scroll down to the bottom of the page. Next to Account Delete, select Request Account Delete.
