Spotify has announced a new section called “What’s New Feed” for its music streaming app on iOS and Android, which helps you minimize the time you spend searching for new releases from an artist or podcaster you like. This ensures that you don’t feel left out of new artist releases if you’re the type of person who doesn’t check social media all that often.
Before this update, Spotify suggested new releases from your favorite artists through the Release Radar section: a playlist personalized with the latest tracks from your favorite artists, both those you follow and those you listen to the most.
Although Release Radar has been in the Spotify app for a few years, it never really caught the attention. It only showed individual songs from artists and not the entire album. Moreover, the new songs almost always came too late.
