From farming resources to producing finished products that sell for good gold, there’s so much to do in Pelican Town. Obtaining and using the Pine Tar in Stardew Valley is one of those things you do for the quest, bundle, or crafting recipes of a few items. While most of the things we use this in are unlocked at a high level, it doesn’t take that long to produce the item itself.
How to Get Pine Tar – Stardew Valley
If you are level 3 in farming, you may have already discovered the first objective and started looking for the tar. You don’t need to look anywhere else, because here are all the steps you can follow to get it in SDV.
Just like the real Pine Tar, you get it from Pine Trees. You place a Tapper on those trees and wait 5-6 days for the product. To make Tapper, you need 40 Woods and 2 Copper Bars. The recipe for this is unlocked when you reach level 3 of foraging. Chop trees for a while if you are not at this level yet, and you will get it in a few days.
Alternatively, you can obtain this item by processing Hardwood in a Wood Chipper. However, it rarely yields tar, so it is best to rely on the first method.
