Ring products are some of the best doorbell cameras on the market today. But every now and then, even the best products need to be reset to factory settings. If you’re thinking of selling it, giving it away, or are having trouble with it, check out these steps on how to reset a Ring doorbell. It’s pretty simple, but the steps will vary depending on which version you have.
How to Reset Your Ring Doorbell | Featured Technology (2021)
Unscrew your Ring Video Doorbell (1st or 2nd Gen) to remove it from the bracket, then press and hold the setup button (the orange one) for 10 seconds. This button is located on the back of the device. You will see a light flashing on your doorbell, which means the reset process has started; once the light stops flashing, the reset is complete.
Unscrew and remove the front panel of your Ring Video Doorbell 2 to begin the reset process. The setup button is located in the upper right corner below the camera. Hold the setup button for 10 seconds and once the light stops flashing, your Ring Video Doorbell 2 has been reset.
