Amanda the Adventurer 2 takes things up a notch with its increased difficulty, making Silent Hill 2 look easy. Just like in the demo, your first order of business is to figure out how to open the bike lock if you want to examine the cursed tapes. You might think that seeing the first tape is impossible, but don’t worry, I’ve been there too.

After completing this puzzle on June 10, 2024 for the Amanda the Adventurer 2 demo, I went into the full release with (what I thought was) unbreakable confidence. When I read the note Sofie left at the front desk of the Kensdale Public Library, I thought this was going to be another five-minute puzzle with a quick and easy solution. But I was wrong. Hours passed in my countless attempts to pick these pesky bike locks. Even my family got in on the act, but their efforts were futile. I swear at one point I heard the monster within the library walls laughing at me.

But I wouldn’t let it defeat me. One pasta dish later, and that eureka moment hit me (thanks, carbs). I realized that maybe Sofie was onto something with her message to Margret. So, to save you the pain I went through, here’s how to open the bike lock in Amanda the Adventurer 2.

Opening the bike lock is the first puzzle and action you need to complete to progress in Amanda the Adventurer 2. With a set combination and five books to find, you must follow the trail of manipulated books through the Kensdale Public Library database. This will take you to five books. The first is given to you at the front desk, next to Sofie's note.
