YouTube Memberships are a way for fans to support their favorite YouTube channels by committing to automated monthly donations. Memberships provide financial assistance to YouTubers and help them maintain full-time video production. Additionally, members get benefits like access to members-only messages and exclusive emoji for YouTube live chats.
YouTube Channel Memberships: Everything You Need to Know
The YouTube Memberships feature is not available on all channels. To access this feature, a channel must be in the YouTube Partner Program, have over 30,000 subscribers, and have zero policy violations.
YouTube memberships are limited to specific regions and must be manually enabled by the channel owner once eligible. It is an optional feature.
The easiest way to see if a YouTube channel is using the Memberships feature is to look for the Join button on the main channel or below the videos. In both cases, the Join button is to the left of the Subscribe or Subscribed button.
