Google is introducing artificial intelligence (AI) to Google Docs. If used correctly, AI can improve your writing.
How to Rewrite Text in Google Docs Using Google's Generative AI Feature?
Artificial intelligence will be a central theme at Google's annual developers conference on Wednesday. Google is building on AI's enabling capabilities through its Bard chatbot and generative AI tools in Workspace products, including its Docs word processing software.
“You can imagine an AI invasion of popular tools like Google Docs, where the functionality would be proactive if the user chose it to be,” Dan Perry, a former senior editor at the Associated Press and current managing partner at Thunder11, told Lifewire in an email interview. “They could offer immediate improvement recommendations, create bullet lists, highlight needed corrections, and suggest links and visuals that are available. And much more.”
Google announced in March that it was bringing AI tools to Workspace products like Google Sheets, Docs, and Slides. Eventually, all Google Workspace customers will have access to generative AI composition tools in Gmail, Slides, Docs, Sheets, Meet, and Chat.
