Need a little break? Giulia Mazza, better known as StudyTme on Twitch, has just what you need to relax and get some work done.

Cuddled up in her home office, a large window illuminates the room with natural light in the morning, while her LEDs take over in the evening. A keyboard and a pile of study materials are mounted on her desk as she prepares herself and her audience for a day of seriously productive work and a salve against the paralyzing power of loneliness.

"I'm so happy for the community that has grown around StudyTme. I believe 100 percent that if it weren't for the same people who joined me when they did, this growth wouldn't have happened," she said in a phone interview with Lifewire. "I didn't want anyone to know. I didn't expect anyone to find me. It was just meant to be a way to hold myself accountable."

Mazza grew up in the shadow of Venice in a picturesque, remote area of Verona, Italy, best known as the regional setting for Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. A city of lovers known for its intimate landscapes, Mazza says it was anything but a city. Her childhood was marked by isolation.
