Sharing contacts on Android used to require a few different steps, and sharing apps were no different, often requiring third-party systems. With Nearby Share, users could finally seamlessly share content with other nearby Android devices over Bluetooth and Wi-Fi wirelessly.
Now, after over a year of development, Google has finally added the ability to share apps and updates between devices.
“The new sharing feature in Google Play allows Google to do three things. First, it can streamline and control existing behavior,” Philip Wride, CEO of Cheesecake Digital, told Lifewire via email.
