Apple’s AirTags are a handy device if you’re prone to misplacing things; the tool lets you keep track of important things like luggage, keys, backpacks, or even pets. Of course, any tracker is only as good as its battery: once it runs out, it’s useless.
How do you replace your AirTag battery and how long does it last?
While the battery life of an AirTag is quite long, there is no clear way to check the battery; you can’t check the battery life of an AirTag in percentages like you can with a smartphone or tablet. The battery life of an AirTag, on the other hand, is a bit of a mystery.
According to Apple, your AirTags won't run out of battery for about a year. When the battery gets low, you'll get a notification from the Find My app on your iPhone. You can also see this information in the Find My app by tapping the AirTag in the Items tab. The message will simply say "Low Battery" — it doesn't offer any additional information. If the AirTag doesn't have a dead battery, you won't see any battery information at all.
