Still Wakes the Deep is here, and if you want to dive into the horror stories of The Chinese Room, you need to know how much time you should set aside to finish it. We have the answer.
Still Awake in the Deep – Trailer | PC Gaming Show 2024
According to publisher Secret Mode, Still Wakes the Deep should take about six hours to read. I can confirm this, as I finished the narrative horror in six hours on the Standard difficulty.
I died a few times during my playthrough and didn’t get all the achievements. So if you decide to play on Story mode difficulty, which makes the stealth sections easier, you might be able to complete the game in a little less time. However, if you decide to go for all the achievements, you’ll be adding extra time to your playthrough.
This means Still Wakes the Deep is slightly longer than some of developer The Chinese Room's previous titles, with Dear Esther clocking in at 1.5 to 2.5 hours, Everybody's Gone to the Rapture clocking in at 4.5 to 9.5 hours, and Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs clocking in at four to six hours. The longer times here are for players to complete the game to 100 percent.
