Microsoft recently unveiled Microsoft Mesh, the company’s mixed-reality platform built to make collaboration easier. Designed to work with a variety of virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) headsets, the new technology allows users to collaborate in an immersive way across both virtual and physical locations.
Experts believe that combining real-world and virtual experiences could solve many of the challenges of working with others, even after the threat of the COVID-19 pandemic has passed.
“Physical collaborations were already fraught with challenges, even before the pandemic,” Timoni West, vice president of augmented and virtual reality at Unity Technologies, told Lifewire via email.
