Beloved, effervescent Twitch streamer Genshin Impact and TikTok personality SipSipStefen is looking to reach the top one shot of tea at a time.

Stefen Matias may be best known as the TikTok Genshin Guy, but his dedicated community of 130,000 followers across Twitch and TikTok ensures his intoxicating persona doesn’t go unnoticed. He’s a rising force in the streaming world, looking to conquer one sample at a time.

"I've worked really hard and I've worked endlessly, even without getting anything in return. Other than that, I still feel happy, and some days it really doesn't feel real… and I don't know if that ever will happen," Matias said in a phone interview with Lifewire.

Matias was born and raised in the Greater Toronto Area to two working-class parents. Mama Matias worked in customer service, while Papa Matias supported the family with his maintenance job. They were immigrants from the Azores, one of Portugal’s two picturesque archipelagos, where upward mobility proved elusive.
